September 21st is annual International Peace Day, and the UN General Assembly declare it as a day marked by strengthening the ideals of peace, through 24 hours of non-violence and cease-fire. Beyond just not attacking one another, many organizations work to actively foster new relationships. Organizations like Elitzur, Geneva World Peace, Chess4all, and Sharaka, which banded together to host an International Peace Day Chess Tournament.
