What is Hamas's End-Game? Escalation Control

In this article, published in the Jerusalem Post Weekend Edition, and which was re-shared on Real Clear World, I wonder why Hamas would launch 460 rockets at Israel, risking the cease-fire it is close to agreeing upon with Israel. The answer is escalation control. Hamas seeks to set the rules of engagement and deny Israel, although it is far more powerful militarily, from setting the rules of the game. It seems, I claim, that Hamas has succeeded this time.
